Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an alternative provision setting.
In this rewarding role, you will support pupils who are unable to access mainstream education due to social, emotional, mental health (SEMH), and behavioural needs. The position requires resilience, patience, and commitment, with a strong focus on helping each pupil build confidence, develop independence, and reach their full potential through tailored, personalised support.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one
* Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, both 1:1 and in group settings
* Have experience working with individuals with more challenging behaviour
* Establish a supportive and consistent relationship, promoting a positive learning experience
* Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively
* Be flexible and resilient
