Role Profile:
The Opportunity: Be part of the team testing the next generation of electrified propulsion systems. We are at the forefront of hybrid and full electric powertrain development, aiming to deliver high performance and refinement. We seek individuals passionate about data management and validation to join our growing team. This role involves working across Electric Machine, Electric Drive Unit (EDU), Inverter, Cell, Battery, Power in Loop (PiL), and Vehicle in Loop (ViL) test beds.
The person in this data validation and management role will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, secure, and accessible test data to enable efficient engineering decisions.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Manage data sources, acquisition, quality validation, piping, storage, and visualization for physical test environments.
* Deliver data quality reviews to support program targets and technology validation.
* Develop calculations, parameterization, regulations, and processes for in-house data tools.
* Ensure facility measurements are repeatable and compliant with regulations.
* Perform correlation exercises between test facilities and beds.
* Continuously improve measurement quality through equipment and method reviews.
* Calculate and evaluate test results, initiating corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate on projects to enhance test bed consistency and repeatability.
* Work closely with Data Quality SMEs to meet KPIs.
* Recommend process improvements to enhance data quality.
* Research and implement best practices in data quality and test efficiency.
* Explore ways to optimize equipment use for better data quality.
* Promote a growth mindset within the team.
* Coach and facilitate best practices in data validation and management for team development.
* Perform other duties as directed by line management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience (Essential):
* Degree in natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, or computing.
* Experience designing applications in programming languages (preferably Python).
* Experience building data systems and pipelines in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
* Strong data analysis skills, including hypothesis testing and uncertainty analysis.
* Ability to influence engineering decisions through stakeholder collaboration.
* Developing KPIs and presenting data graphically.
* Understanding of physical measurement equipment.
* Ability to prepare reports and technical presentations.
