People Manager - Tax

We are seeking three Associate People Managers for our Tax teams in London, Manchester, Birmingham or Reading. The role is Assistant Manager grade, hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office and occasional travel.
Responsibilities
* Have regular conversations with Associates to support workload management, well‑being and feedback.
* Proactively manage performance, including goal setting and reviews, and address issues such as exam fails, underperformance, absence and well‑being concerns.
* Handle administrative tasks such as monitoring performance feedback, preparing data and contributing to talent meetings.
* Lead the local orientation for Associates, providing a first‑class introduction to the firm.
* Work in close partnership with other Associate People Managers to ensure a consistent people experience.
* Promote diversity through everyday inclusion.
Qualifications
* Experience in mentoring and coaching others.
* Experience in direct people/line management.
* Confidence in using Microsoft Office packages.
* Passion for creating the best possible experience for Associates.
* Experience supporting firm‑wide projects or initiatives and wellbeing and support.
* Knowledge of tax/accountancy profession training pathways.
* Stakeholder management and project management skills.
* Experience collaborating with a range of teams.
