Do you want to work for the exciting food and drink sector for a growing organisation?If so, apply now as we are looking for a robust Operations Assistant to play a key role in supporting the delivery of world‑class gastronomic awards and events across the 50 Best portfolio. You will provide essential administrative, logistical and operational support, ensuring smooth coordination of processes such as travel, finance, voting, scheduling, and documentation. Working closely with the Operations Co‑ordinator, this role helps maintain the high standards and global reputation of the 50 Best brand.
What you'll be doing:
* Offering operational and administrative support.
* Raising purchase orders, logging invoices and setting up suppliers using the in‑house finance system.
* Coordinating travel and accommodation for internal staff and key stakeholders.
* Supporting with managing the voting process across the 50 Best portfolio.
* Communicating with and organising the voting academy.
* Assisting with coordinating international deliveries and shipments of event materials.
* Supporting the ordering and coordination of merchandise and stationery.
* Setting up and attending internal meetings, distributing agendas / meeting notes and tracking actions.
* Using existing templates to create documents such as critical paths, annual calendars, run‑of‑events, WIP sheets, schedules and operational manuals.
* Updating marketing materials including event programmes, invitations and event collateral where required.
* Maintaining the annual calendar and ensuring key dates and event schedules are added to internal Outlook calendars.
* Keeping the project management tool ) up to date.
* Providing occasion ad hoc administrative support to the wider 50 Best team as required.
Requirements:
What you'll need:
If you have previous experience in a fast-paced office-based admin, operations or logistics role, great, but we are also open to entry level candidates that are able to demonstrate their ability to prioritise workloads and stay calm whilst working in a very fast paced role with varying demands on their time. You will however:
* Have an ability and willingness to learn fast.
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Have a high level of IT competency, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
* Have top quality attention to detail.
* Be highly organised.
* Be reliable and have strong time‑management skills.
* Be flexible.
* Be a natural team player with strong collaboration skills and a sense of humour, to be able to laugh when the going gets tough
