Early Years Teaching Assistant – Phonics & Reading Support

Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel is currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Fleetwood, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
This role will involve delivering targeted phonics and reading interventions, with a strong emphasis on the Read Write Inc. phonics scheme. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in EYFS settings and a good understanding of early literacy development.
The Role:
* Supporting small groups and individual pupils with phonics and early reading
* Assisting with the delivery of the Read Write Inc. programme
* Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support learning plans
* Providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young learners
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working in an EYFS setting (school or nursery-based)
* Familiarity with the Read Write Inc. phonics programme (training can be provided)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting children’s learning and development
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
