Work Location: Sudbury, Suffolk Office/Hybrid Remote (must include 1 day in the office)

Job Type: Part-Time, 20 Hours per week (negotiable)

Pay: £40,000 FTE

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant / Client Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Client Manager, you'll work within our team and oversee a portfolio of micro company clients, ensuring we deliver an exceptional service, and you will manage a small team.

It will be a varied hands-on accountancy task-based role that will also include team coordination and strategic client management. From onboarding new clients to delivering final accounts and tax returns, you'll help deliver our services to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities:

* Team Leader: Supervise and support your team
* Responsible for a portfolio of clients – Including accountancy tasks and client management
* Oversee/review day to day Bookkeeping and VAT work
* Train and mentor bookkeeping/accounts staff
* Review of control accounts & balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare, review and submit company financial statements
* Corporation Tax calculations and submissions
* Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations
* Build strong relationships with clients, providing information & advice to help them make business decisions
* Dealing with client queries/client care/client management via email and phone
* Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
* Liaising with clients via email, in-person at our office and on the phone

Who we're looking for:

* Strong all-round accounting skills, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger maintenance
* Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, AAT or equivalent experience
* Proven experience in year-end accounting and tax for small businesses
* Proficiency in cloud-based accountancy software (e.g. QuickBooks)
* An accountant with bookkeeping experience
* Supervisory or management experience
* High levels of integrity, honesty, and attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A commitment to learning and adapting to meet client and business needs
* A natural problem solver
* Excellent multi-tasking skills
* Relaxed, but professional personality

Experience:

Practice experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
