Coba Education is working in partnership with a progressive secondary school in Northampton to recruit talented and driven Inclusion Support Practitioners (ISPs) to join their secondary phase team.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about inspiring young people and enhancing curriculum delivery. The role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in areas aligned to your skills, interests, and aspirations, while making a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys.

Curriculum Inclusion Support Practitioner

We are particularly keen to hear from ISPs who would like to work within the school’s core curriculum areas, supporting teaching and learning as part of the subject teams:

Maths
English
Science
As a Curriculum ISP, you will work alongside subject specialists to support lesson delivery, lead small‑group interventions, and help ensure pupils make accelerated progress. You will play an active role in supporting students to build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve success throughout their secondary education and beyond.

SEND Inclusion Support Practitioner

For those with a strong interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), there are also opportunities to work within the school’s SEND team, supporting identified learners including those with EHCPs.

In this role, you will:

Support pupils in and out of the classroom, working in small groups or on a one‑to‑one basis
Deliver targeted intervention pathways to improve access to the curriculum
Work closely with the SENDCo to support pupils’ individual needs
Help learners develop the skills needed to achieve positive outcomes and prepare for adulthood

Key Responsibilities (Across Both Pathways)

Support students’ learning, progress, and emotional wellbeing across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan and deliver interventions informed by pupil need and evidence‑based practice
Support lesson delivery and provide classroom cover where required
Track and monitor progress using tools such as Edukey, IEPs, and Pupil Passports
Carry out or contribute to assessments including Lucid, dyslexia, and dyscalculia screening
Build positive relationships with students to promote engagement, confidence, and resilience
Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and intervention periods
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in line with school policies
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and SEND professionals
Engage in ongoing professional development to strengthen practice

About You

We are looking for individuals who:

Are motivated, adaptable, and committed to helping young people succeed
Enjoy working as part of a team to enhance curriculum delivery
Have experience supporting young people, ideally in a secondary or SEND setting
