Job Description:

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE

To provide key supervisory functions to support the Supply Chain in regards to warehousing for the Aberdeen location and wider business as required, with a focus on leading and managing a team of cross-skilled warehouse team members.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leadership and Team Management:Lead, motivate, and develop a team of cross-skilled warehouse team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, performance, and operational updates.Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and cross-functional capabilities.Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
2. Operational Supervision:Oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.Implement and monitor KPIs to evaluate team performance and productivity.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures across all warehouse operations.
3. Strategic Planning and Coordination:Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on warehouse processes and goals.Develop strategies to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency.Coordinate cross-functional activities to support supply chain objectives and customer satisfaction.
4. Problem Solving and Decision Making:Analyze data and reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions as necessary.Address and resolve operational issues promptly, making informed decisions to ensure smooth workflow.
5. Warehouse Key Activities:

6. Responsible for all aspects of ensuring that aircraft parts are stored, picked and shipped in an accurate and timely manner, including segregation of serviceable and unserviceable components.
7. Despatch, receipt of deliveries, driving and general warehouse tasks that may be asked of.
8. Store incoming parts
9. Check for outstanding customer demand
10. Ensure stock area is kept clean, tidy and clearly identified to facilitate stock picking, checking, counting, packing.
11. Ensure ERP system is updated with relevant information necessary for accurate stocks
12. Issue parts
13. Receive requests to action customer demand through ERP order or written communication
14. Coordinate with maintenance for off coming unserviceable material
15. Coordinate with Supply Chan the paperwork for Unserviceable material
16. Support team with daily Cycle Count Stock checks to maintain optimum inventory accuracy
17. Support team with weekly count/stock evaluation to determine physical and ERP system coincide within department/s
18. Support team with Packing of Dangerous Goods products and creation of documentation prior to shipping by Air / Sea / Road transport
19. Monitoring of ERP reports and proactive checks to minimise stocking errors or inaccuracies
20. Quarantine of discrepant parts where necessary
21. Monitoring of shelf-life expiry dates and action within agreed procedures
22. Monitoring timeframe for movement of parts Serviceable & Returns
23. Driving duties if required including forklift operations
24. Assist in Warehouse activities as tasked /Accept deliveries /Unload goods
25. Check delivered packages against delivery documentation
26. Reject and redirect if delivery address or location is incorrect
27. Load collection vehicles
28. Assisting in other warehouse tasks during holiday / sickness absence
29. Other tasks as required when requested by Manager

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

30. Forklift licence – B1 Counterbalance (up to 5 tonnes)
31. Dangerous Goods packing (air / sea / road) certificate

Experience

32. Previous warehouse or stores experience in a supervisory role, with proven ability to manage and develop a team
33. ERP experience, preferably SAP
34. Microsoft Office experience, particularly Word and Excel

35. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
36. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and collaboration.
37. Ability to work in a safe manner in adherence with company rules
38. Customer-focused for provision of excellent customer service
39. Good problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
40. Approachable to both internal and external staff members
41. Flexible to assist covering colleagues during absence
