Job Title: Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Core Services team, working on the services and shared capabilities that underpin key customer and business journeys across Royal London.
About The Role
* Develop and enhance shared services and integration components within the Core Services stack.
* Contribute to solution design, ensuring changes are well‑designed, secure and sustainable.
* Write clean, well‑tested code that aligns with engineering standards and quality controls.
* Support safe deployment and release processes across environments.
* Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Help maintain stable core services used across multiple business units.
About You
* Experience in C#/.NET or similar enterprise‑grade development technology.
* Understanding of modern software engineering practices and the full SDLC.
* Experience working in agile delivery teams.
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn, grow and contribute.
* Strong operational understanding & experience.
* Experience in any of the following would be beneficial: API design and integration, SQL Server, Azure services, event‑driven architecture, Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD, Java or Angular exposure.
