Duties as a History Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise and deliver pre-prepared History lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
* Engage students in historical topics, helping them remain focused and on task.
* Maintain good classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
* Support students with their understanding of historical content and assignments.
* Provide feedback on student progress to the History department.
* Assist with exam invigilation, revision sessions, or general cover across the school if required.
Ideal History Cover Supervisor:
* Holds a History degree (or a closely related subject).
* Has a genuine interest in education and working with young people.
* Demonstrates strong communication and classroom management skills as a History Cover Supervisor.
* Is enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable.
* Is reliable, professional, and calm under pressure
