We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant to work within a vibrant Blackpool school. This role is specifically designed to support a student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) centered around Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a Temp-to-Perm position. You will start via the agency for the summer term (12 weeks), with the intention of joining the school's permanent staff in September 2026 based on a successful placement. Key Responsibilities Targeted 1:1 Support: Implement specific strategies outlined in the student's EHCP to promote engagement and emotional regulation. De-escalation & Wellbeing: Use trauma-informed approaches and positive behaviour management (Team Teach/restorative practice) to navigate challenging moments. Academic Scaffolding: Work alongside the Class Teacher to adapt learning materials, ensuring the curriculum is accessible and non-overwhelming.
