 
        Production Shift Manager Up to £40,000 6AM – 6PM / 6PM – 6AM (3 Days, 3 Off, 3 Nights, 3 Off) (Initial training on Nights) Oldham We are seeking a proactive, dynamic, and experienced Shift Manager / Team Manager to oversee operations within a manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for leadership, process optimization, and high-quality production standards. Shift Manager Skills, Experience, and education required: · Experience leading a Manufacturing / Production team, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met. · Proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate others. · Strong understanding of ISO 9001. · Experience troubleshooting defects and optimising processes. · Knowledge of health and safety regulations, 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles · Strong knowledge of injection moulding or blow moulding processes and machinery Shift Manager Key Responsibilities and Duties: · Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all team members work safely and understand that nothing is more important than going home safe each day. · Conduct weekly safety audits and act swiftly on findings. · Lead, coach, and motivate your team to perform at their best every shift. · Create a positive and inclusive environment built on respect, trust, and accountability. · Manage performance — giving regular feedback, recognising achievement, and addressing issues · Encourage teamwork, pride, and ownership in every aspect of the operation. · Resolve minor team issues professionally and escalate only when necessary. · Oversee all daily production activity to meet flow, quality, and productivity targets. · Allocate resources effectively to maintain continuous operation · Coordinate material flow, ensuring operators can focus on their tasks without disruption. · Monitor quality output and minimise waste through proactive problem-solving. · Maintain all required documentation regarding the agreed quality and timeliness. · Uphold 5S and cleanliness standards in line with SOPs. · Conduct end-of-shift checks, ensuring machines, tools, and areas are ready for the next team. · Verify maintenance and calibration checks are completed accurately and on time. · Promote a culture of continuous improvement where every team member feels empowered to suggest better ways of working. · Support, lead, and deliver CI projects that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and team morale. · Track and share improvements with the wider production team to drive consistent progress
