Job Overview: The Technical Services Operator (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, plant operator, building fabric trade) is an important role for the operation delivery team and will report directly to the Facilities Management Technician. The role will require assisting with Planned and Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive work (items of repair), or equipment operation. The post holder will have the following key responsibilities:Main Duties:
1. Assist with the operation, repair, maintenance or ad-hoc small work and project work in support of the Facilities Management service undertaken by thepany at South West Acute Hospital Enniskillen (SWAH). This work will be mechanical, plumbing, electrical, specialist equipment, fabric maintenance etc to fixtures and fittings.
2. Ensure Work Orders (or in the future Personal Digital Assistants - PDAs) are utilised aspany procedure requires, and that work is attended to andpleted on time as required by the Contract,pleting Risk Assessment beforehand.
3. Ensure work is undertaken as required by the contract, efficiently and to a good standard of quality.
4. Ensure all details on the Work Order are correctlypleted and signed off before issue to Supervisor for final sign off and close down in the Facilities Management IT system.
5. Attend Tool Box talks with the Supervisor and attend all other training as determined by thepany.
6. Ensure that thepanies' Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and standards areplied with at all times. Actively promote a zero-accident culture.
7. Attend work andply with the duty rosters to meet the requirements of the contract on a 24-hour x 7 day x 365 days/annum basis and for emergency response.
8. Assist with establishing, maintaining and developing effective working relationships with the client and customers, all staff, external agencies, specialist suppliers and all other relevant groupspanies.
9. Assist withpleting service delivery to ensure that client's needs are met in accordance with contractually agreed targets and service level agreements.
10. Fully participate in promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
11. Liaise with all operational teams and client staff, SWAH and NIHG, as required.
12. To ensure customer satisfaction by promoting the highest levels of service in accordance with Mitie & SWAH Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental standards.
13. Adhere to statedpany policies and procedures and carry out all duties in a way which is consistent with and which promotes Mite values.
