This inclusive SEND school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

Role: Children’s Support Worker – SEN School Based
In this role, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access learning, manage their needs, and develop confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow all school policies and safeguarding procedures
* Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs
* Support pupils with additional needs, including autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties
* Assist with behaviour management using positive and consistent strategies
* Help pupils regulate emotions and develop social skills
* Adapt learning activities to support engagement and understanding
* Support with personal care where required
* Monitor and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
Essential Criteria (Non-Negotiables)
* Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
* Understanding of SEN, including autism and/or SEMH needs
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team
* Comfortable supporting personal care if required
* A compassionate, flexible, and proactive attitude
