Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join our managed print team, based at OES, St Asaph, North Wales. This is a full-time role, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Service Delivery:
* Work closely with our experienced Service Team to respond to client requests promptly and within set SLA response times.
* Provide high-quality service levels to clients at all times.
* Carry out repairs on reported devices, provide technical support, and perform regular scheduled maintenance calls.
* Keep up to date with all manufacturer service bulletins.
* Maintain responsibility for managing stock, including toner supplies and spare parts.
* Cover the North West region, ensuring efficient and timely service delivery.
Technical Expertise:
* Diagnose and solve technical issues with managed print devices, including mechanical and IT-related problems.
* Stay informed on device models such as Konica Minolta, Lexmark, and Sharp, ensuring familiarity with a wide range of products.
* Assist with complex installations and support IT issues related to print devices.
Teamwork and Communication:
* Work effectively as part of a successful team, ensuring strong collaboration and information sharing.
* Provide excellent customer communication, ensuring clients are kept informed throughout the service process.
* Maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach, reflecting the core values of OES in all customer interactions.
Operational Efficiency:
* Manage time effectively, balancing workload and priorities to ensure a fast-paced environment is maintained.
* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards and service level agreements.
* Report any recurring issues or opportunities for service improvement to the Managed Print Services Manager.
About You:
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a field-based engineer in print/reprographics.
* Familiarity with Konica Minolta, Lexmark, and Sharp devices preferred.
* Strong mechanical and IT literacy skills.
* Excellent customer communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and thrive in a dynamic environment.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
