About the Programme
Our client is embarking on a major transformation to comply with the EU AML Package, published in June 2024, which includes the 6th AML Directive, the Single Rulebook Regulation, and the creation of the AML Authority (AMLA). This initiative aims to harmonise AML/CFT standards across the EU, strengthen financial crime prevention, and protect the integrity of the financial system.
We are building a dedicated team to deliver this critical programme and are hiring Senior Business Analysts and Business Analysts to play a key role in shaping and implementing these changes.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and interpret new AML regulatory requirements, including:
Enhanced due diligence (EDD) and customer due diligence (CDD) processes.
Beneficial ownership transparency and integration with central registers.
Data and reporting obligations under the AML Regulation.
Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments across business units.
Translate regulatory requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Map current vs. target state processes and design solutions.
Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Operations teams.
Support governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Prepare test cases and assist in UAT execution.
Maintain accurate documentation and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills & Experience
Senior Business Analyst
8+ years’ experience in Business Analysis within financial services.
Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, ideally including EU directives (AMLD5/6).
Proven track record in regulatory change programmes.
Expertise in data governance, KYC/CDD processes, and transaction monitoring systems.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Professional certifications (, CAMS, ICA) desirable.
Business Analyst
3–5 years’ experience in Business Analysis within banking or financial services.
Understanding of AML/CFT frameworks and regulatory obligations.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Experience with data analysis and process mapping tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Professional certifications (, CAMS, ICA) advantageous.
