Behaviour Support Worker Location: Blackburn Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm Pay: £95-£110 per day Start Date: January We are looking for a Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Support Worker for an Ofsted rated Outstanding Pupil Referral Unit. You will be working in a 1 to 1 capacity with students who have very complex emotional and behavioural needs. These students often come from traumatic backgrounds and are disengaged with mainstream education. The pupils in this provision have been expelled from prior schools, and some may be at risk of criminal or sexual exploitation. This school supports a mixture of primary and secondary aged students, some of which are on EHCPs across two sites. Due to the nature of the students, you must be comfortable managing emotional dysregulation, challenging behaviour, and maintain a level of calmness when faced with aggression. This is a position where you'll have to manage high levels of challenging behaviour, this can include both verbal and physical aggression. Your Role as a Teaching Assistant As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide classroom support across core subjects Work 1:1 with students.
