Job summary An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team on Courtlands Ward, a busy 17 bedded acute cardiac ward, with a dedicated, enthusiastic inclusive team, to work as a ward administrator. The successful candidate will be a flexible, friendly and compassionate, and will have excellent organisational and communication skills. Please note: This role does not meet the minimum criteria for visa sponsorship under the current UK immigration rules, which set specific salary and skill thresholds. As such, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this post. Applicants will therefore need to already have the right to work in the UK to be considered. We include this information at the outset to provide clarity and avoid unnecessary inconvenience for applicants. If you are applying using a Graduate visa as your right to work, you must have a minimum of 18 months remaining on your visa at time of application. Main duties of the job The Ward Administrator is responsible for ensuring the administrative and clerical work related to patient care is competently managed. They provide effective day-to-day clerical support tofacilitate the smooth running of the ward alongside the ward manager and seniorcolleagues. This job role covers clerical duties meeting and greeting staff, patientsand visitors, answering the telephone and dealing with all enquires in a calm and professional manner adhering to our Trust Values and Behaviours.The Ward Administrator needs to be IT literate and willing to learn how to use the Trust systems to input, update and monitor patient confidential information.
