Vocational Lecturer – Engineering (Bus & Coach)
Location: Northwest England
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours/week, 48 weeks/year)
Salary: up to £41,000
Are you ready to lead the next generation of Bus & Coach engineering professionals? We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Programme Leader to take ownership of apprenticeship programme delivery, curriculum development, and learner success within the Bus & Coach sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the delivery of Bus & Coach apprenticeship programmes.
* Design and implement high-quality curriculum content aligned with industry standards.
* Deliver consistently outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment experiences.
* Guide and support learners through a variety of methods to maximise their potential.
* Provide course management and ensure high achievement and success rates.
* Coach and mentor academic staff to enhance teaching practices.
* Drive innovation in digital learning and interactive content creation.
* Collaborate with employers and industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance.
* Lead recruitment and marketing efforts to attract learners and improve conversion rates.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health & safety policies.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant area (preferably Bus & Coach).
* Recognised teaching qualification.
* Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
* Experience designing and delivering educational programmes in FE or apprenticeships.
* Knowledge of Bus & Coach apprenticeship standards.
* Strong digital skills and familiarity with platforms such as ProMonitor, OneFile, and MS Office.
* Proven industry experience and ability to inspire learners.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
