Driving Instructor Courses
Your full driving instructor course lasts between 3 to 18 months, depending on your learning pace and commitments. It includes structured theory-based learning, one-to-one training, and on-road practical sessions to prepare you thoroughly.
Requirements for Driving Instructor Training:
* You must be over 22 years old
* Reside in Darlington or surrounding areas
* Hold a full driving license for at least 3.5 years without disqualification
* Commit to at least five hours of training per week
* Be able to read a number plate from 27.5 meters
* Obtain an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check (£8.22)
* Have patience and understanding; some pupils learn faster than others
* Possess excellent communication skills
* Points holders should note that the Driving Standards Agency may reject applications with more than 3 points
