Transport Planner – Development Planning London | Hybrid Working Available We are working with a leading transport planning consultancy in London that is looking to appoint a Transport Planner to support the continued growth of its Development Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Transport Planner with experience in development-led projects to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, education, and regeneration schemes across London and the South East. The Role You will be involved in delivering transport planning advice across all stages of the development process, working closely with developers, local authorities, and multidisciplinary design teams. Key responsibilities include: Preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans Supporting development planning projects from inception through to approval Undertaking junction capacity assessments and transport modelling work Liaising with local authorities, clients, and external stakeholders Analysing transport data and presenting findings in technical reports Assisting with active travel, accessibility, and sustainable transport strategies Supporting senior team members in project delivery and client management Requirements Degree qualified in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline Previous experience within transport planning, ideally in a development planning environment Understanding of UK planning policy and the development process Experience preparing technical reports and analysing transport data Familiarity with software such as Junctions 10, LinSig, TRICS, or GIS would be beneficial Strong communication and report-writing skills Ability to work collaboratively within a consultancy environment What's on Offer Opportunity to work on high-profile London developments Clear progression and professional development support Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Support towards professional accreditation (CIHT / TPS / ICE) If you are interested in discussing this opportunity further, please get in touch for a confidential conversation.
