Class 1 HGV Driver – Local Runs (Curtainsider with Tail Lift) Location: Bothwell Job Type: Temporary, Ad-Hoc Salary: £17-£19ph About the Role Apex Resources Limited are looking for reliable and professional Class 1 (HGV) Drivers to join our clients team. This role involves local deliveries and collections using a curtainsider vehicle with a tail lift, ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for a driver who prefers local routes and regular daily work, returning to base each day. Key Responsibilities * Operate a Class 1 HGV curtainside vehicle with tail lift * Complete local deliveries and collections in a safe and timely manner * Use the tail lift for loading and unloading where required * Secure loads correctly using straps and other restraints * Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects * Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records * Follow all road transport and health & safety regulations * Provide professional service when dealing with customers Requirements * Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence * Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card * Experience driving curtainside vehicles preferred * Comfortable using a tail lift and handling palletised goods * Good knowledge of UK road regulations * Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude * Strong time management and organisational skills What We Offer * Local runs – home daily * Competitive Rates * Supportive and friendly working environment * Overtime opportunities available How to Apply If you are interested in joining our team, please send your CV and contact details.
