Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - MacMerry, East Lothian

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in MacMerry, East Lothian for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon. This role is part time for 2 or 3 days per week, along with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

4. Hours: Part time, 2 or 3 days per week, shifts from 9am to 6pm
5. Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, 9am to 12pm
6. OOH: None
7. Computer system: Merlin
8. Consultations: 15 minutes
9. Team: 3.5 vets, 2 RVNs and 3 SVNs
The role
10. The Vet would be working across their two sites, one of which is a consultations only site.
11. Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
12. The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
13. The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

14. First opinion practice. Two sites one of which is consultation only. Located close to Edinburgh and the local train station and bus routes.
15. They are fully equipped with facilities including two theatres, Ultrasound, in house laboratory, and digital radiography.
16. They have a team of 3.5 Vets some of whom hold certificates in medicine, feline medicine and cardiology.

Package:
26. Salary: Up to £75, pro rata, commensurate to experience
27. Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off pro rata
28. CPD: Generous allowance of £1, with 5 days to attend
