We are currently recruiting for A Housing Solutions Manager, to deliver an excellent Housing Solutions Service, designed around customer requirements and within the context of the principles set out by the Council for developing a stronger, safer, healthier and sustainable Borough. The post holder will be expected to create and maintain a team culture which maximises opportunities for customer involvement and the design, delivery and monitoring of services working in partnership with others. The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of core housing services including the following key areas Prevention and reduction of homelessness and provision of homelessness services Management of the Housing Register and Allocation of homes through the choice -based lettings system Delivery of housing solutions services to all sectors of the housing market Establishment and development of links with private sector landlords and lettings agencies The post holder should have significant supervisory or managerial experience in a housing related environment providing service delivery to customers, including responsibility for discipline and formal personnel issues Experience of administering the statutory requirements under Part 6 and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996. experience of establishing networks and links with internal and external agencies and using information gained to inform and bring about service improvements.
