Personal Assistant required to support female aged 58 years who lives in Sedgefield Apply at UKCIL.com. Reference: ea1594d6 The female has multiple sclerosis, cognitive deficit, memory issues. Can get sensory overload, brain can get overwhelmed by light, loud noises, strong breezes outside. The female is a positive person, likes to look forwards, look ahead, not look backwards. Female would prefer the PA to have some experience in a caring role. She needs a PA who can use their own initiative, and not have to be told what to do. The PA will be shown what jobs/tasks need to be done and then the expectation is that they will do these things as and when required rather than be asked to do them. The female has some issues with her memory, the PA needs to be able to help with this, to be able to take charge when needed. Examples of jobs that will need doing include changing the bed weekly, helping with showering twice a week. The PA doesn’t need to bathe the female, but needs to be in the house just in case. Help with washing, with rubbish, taking bags out to the outside bins, being aware of what bin day it is, general household management. It would be helpful if the PA can drive. Some social time, helping the female going outdoors. Female is a wheelchair user, and has a walker for shorter distances. Hours /Wage 9.5 hours per week @ £13 per hour. Some flexibility with days/times, this can be discussed at interview. Can be evening and weekend work. An enhanced DBS will be required, the cost of this will be covered.
