Job Summary
NHS 111 Health Advisor – part‑time and full‑time shifts available at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Milton Keynes. Closing date: 14 June 2026.
Pay: £25,760 to £27,476 per year pro‑rata (Band 3). Confirmation of salary and pay are available upon request.

Key Responsibilities
* Handle a wide variety of health‑related telephone calls, from routine advice to emergency situations.
* Use the NHS Pathways decision‑support system to assess callers’ needs and provide correct guidance.
* Record accurate and timely documentation of each call into the computerised system.
* Work rotating shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, to provide 24/7 patient support.
* Communicate clearly, confidently and compassionately with callers, ensuring a calm experience for the public.
* Collaborate with ambulance crews, doctors and local services to offer coordinated care.
Essential Qualifications
* Minimum education: 2 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English, or equivalent relevant experience.
* At least 18 years old and UK right to work (no visa sponsorship available).
* Experience in a customer‑ or patient‑service environment, using telephone and computer systems.
Desirable Qualifications
* Certified NHS Pathways training.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Customer Services or similar experience.
* Experience in a call centre, voluntary or health sector, or patient care.
* Knowledge of first aid, anatomy or geographic knowledge of the operational area.
* Experience working rotating shifts.
