Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on HGVs and trailers to VOSA standards
* Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and efficiently
* Complete MOT preparation and inspections
* Attend roadside breakdowns and on-site repairs when needed
* Work closely with the parts department to ensure timely repairs
* Complete compliance documentation and job cards accurately
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
* Keep up to date with training and technical developments
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
* Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or HGV Fitter
* Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* HGV Class 1 licence
* ADR licence
* Health and safety awareness in a workshop setting
