This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial underwriting experience and a proven ability to lead and develop successful teams. You’ll be empowered to drive profitable growth across the region, strengthen broker relationships, and lead strategic new business activity. Responsibilities Lead the Regional New Business team to deliver profitable growth Foster a strong performance and sales-driven culture Underwrite larger and more complex commercial cases consistently and profitably Build and maintain strong broker relationships to generate quality new business Work with the Regional Distribution Manager to deliver the regional sales strategy Support the development of underwriting capability and product knowledge within the team Monitor and improve prospect quality, pipeline strength, and conversion rates Experience Proven experience writing Commercial insurance classes Demonstrated success in leading or managing a high-performing underwriting or sales-focused team Strong commercial underwriting capability, particularly with complex cases Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly with brokers Confident decision-maker with strong analytical and commercial judgement Motivated, proactive, and able to drive results through people and process If you have the relevant experience or know someone who does, please get in touch with me on 07889672926 or email us at admin@lawesgroup.co.uk
