We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen brigade, delivering exceptional dishes crafted with skill, creativity and a passion for Scottish produce.
The Person
* An experienced chef with strong leadership qualities and high culinary
* Calm, organised and confident when leading a kitchen section or full service
* A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
* Passionate about training and developing junior chefs
* Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen operations
The Role
* Support the Head Chef in leading, managing and motivating the kitchen team
* Oversee daily food preparation, cooking and presentation to brand standards
* Maintain smooth kitchen operations, stepping up in the Head Chef’s absence
* Ensure food quality, consistency, cost control and minimal waste
* Champion health & safety, hygiene and compliance across the kitchen
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support chefs during service, ensuring dishes meet specification
* Maintain kitchen organisation, cleanliness and stock control
* Assist with scheduling, staffing decisions and performance reviews
* Collaborate with front‑of‑house to deliver seamless guest experiences
* Provide on‑the‑job coaching and help develop training programmes for junior chefs.
