NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our Medicines Management team.
The post offers an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist to specialize in Medicines Management, influencing cost-effective, safe, and evidence-based prescribing, medicines utilisation, and evaluation, including new and novel medicines, formulary management, and homecare medicines.
You should have effective interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, and operate with a high degree of autonomy in decisions related to Medicines Utilisation and Therapeutics.
This role provides a unique chance to be part of the transition from local NHS Board formulary and governance to regional procedures.
Requirements include a Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and annotation as an independent prescriber, or willingness to attain this within a set timeframe. Demonstrable clinical pharmacy experience and a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience are necessary. A regular clinical commitment to a designated patient group, based on service needs and skills, is also required.
