you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our extensive range of industrial metal fabrication equipment. This includes advanced metal fabrication machinbery and other specialised machinery. You will gain hands-on experience across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, becoming an integral part of a team dedicated to innovation and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* System Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
Assist in the precise diagnosis and resolution of technical issues on complex CNC metal fabrication machinery, learning to interpret electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams.
* PLC & Control System Support:
Engage with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and sophisticated control systems, contributing to programming, optimization, and fault analysis under supervision.
* Electro-Mechanical Maintenance:
Support routine and preventative maintenance activities, as well as new machine installations, focusing on the integrated mechanical and electronic components of our equipment.
* Technical Collaboration & Learning:
Work alongside senior engineers to provide expert support and develop solutions for our diverse client base across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
* Documentation & Reporting:
Accurately record service activities and contribute to technical documentation, enhancing our knowledge base.
Candidate Profile:
* Educational Foundation:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
* Practical Experience:
1-2 years of hands-on experience, ideally gained within an industrial automation, manufacturing, or field service environment, demonstrating an aptitude for practical problem-solving.
* Technical Aptitude:
A strong foundational understanding of industrial automation principles, with a keen interest in electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Familiarity with reading technical diagrams is a distinct advantage.
* Problem-Solving Skills:
Eagerness to diagnose complex issues and contribute to effective solutions in a fast-paced setting.
* Location Flexibility:
We are recruiting for two distinct positions, with primary bases available in either Dublin or Northern Ireland, requiring a willingness to travel as required.
