Join Our Team at Hillhead Hideaways – Housekeeper Position
Hillhead Hideaways offers guests a relaxing, high-quality stay in our four luxury glamping pods, located in Newmill. Each pod comes with its own private hot tub and BBQ house, providing the perfect setting for a peaceful getaway. Since opening in July 2021, we've proudly received numerous 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor and Facebook, with many guests highlighting the outstanding cleanliness of our site. Guests can book stays from as little as one night.
We are now looking for a committed, self-motivated Housekeeper to join our team. You will primarily work independently, but support is available if needed. Given the nature of the business and last-minute bookings, flexibility is important — hours vary depending on the number of changeovers, usually between 10am and 3pm on both weekdays and weekends.
This is preferably a self-employed role, though PAYE may be considered for the right candidate.
Housekeeper/Cleaner Responsibilities:
* Clean and maintain pods to a high standard, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and BBQ houses.
* Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop all floors.
* Change bed linens and make beds (note: laundry is handled by a third-party service).
* Empty rubbish and recycling bins.
* Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products.
* Report any maintenance issues promptly.
* Keep the cleaning van clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
* Follow all safety and hygiene protocols.
* Engage with guests in a friendly and helpful manner, answering any queries when needed.
Experience and Skills:
* Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential.
* Good knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
* Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards.
* Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently.
* Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused.
Additional Opportunities:
Additional work may be available if interested, such as grass cutting and general site maintenance.
