With a sharp news sense and an understanding of the local political landscape, you’ll spot opportunities to showcase the council’s work and tell compelling stories. At the same time, you’ll be trusted to identify and manage reputational risks, ensuring our communications are timely, accurate and effective. You will have experience in writing for print and digital channels, working with the media, and creating compelling content for social media and websites. The role requires a relevant communications qualification, or demonstratable communications or journalism experience.
