Job ID: JR1983Job title: Automotive Mechanic / VansLocation: Redruth, CornwallJob type: Full Time, PermanentHours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm - no weekendsSalary: up to £41,600 per annum depending on experience Job PurposeTo carry out maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on company fleet of vans, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance on vans and light commercial vehiclesDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipmentCarry out repairs including engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension, and exhaust systemsConduct MOT preparation and ensure vehicles meet road safety standardsComplete job cards, service records, and documentation accuratelyMaintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environmentFollow health & safety procedures and company policies at all timesCommunicate effectively with workshop supervisors and parts departments Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience as a vehicle or van mechanic (light commercial vehicles preferred)Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skillsExperience using modern diagnostic tools and equipmentGood knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsAbility to work independently and as part of small a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipGood time management and ability to meet deadlines All applications are dealt with in the strictest of confidence.Rhodium Consulting Ltd is a niche recruitment consultancy specialising in wholesalers, merchants and distributors within the building products sector.
