 
        
        Card Modernisation Initiative
Upgrade to our card processor’s latest APIs to deliver enhanced customer features (Apple Pay, Google Pay, card freeze/cancel, PIN reset) or undertake an RFP to identify and implement a new card processing supplier if our current provider cannot meet requirements. Both roles will be key to ensuring the successful delivery of the Bank’s card modernisation initiative.
Responsibilities
 * Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.
 * Analyse and document system‑level and integration requirements, including API specifications and data flows.
 * Produce high‑level solution designs in collaboration with architects and engineering teams.
 * Support vendor evaluations and solution feasibility assessments.
 * Ensure proposed solutions align with the Bank’s technical standards and security requirements.
 * Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and solution walkthroughs.
 * Gather, document, and manage business requirements from stakeholders across the organisation.
 * Map customer journeys and define functional specifications for card‑related features and services.
 * Collaborate with product owners, operations, and compliance teams to ensure business needs are met.
 * Support testing and validation of new card functionalities.
 * Work closely with the Technical BA and delivery teams to ensure traceability from requirements to solution.
Qualifications
 * Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within financial services, ideally in card platforms or payment systems.
 * Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and solution design principles.
 * Knowledge of card infrastructure, tokenisation, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and related card app functionality.
 * Demonstrated ability to document and explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
 * Experience supporting RFP or vendor selection processes (desirable).
 * Significant experience as a Business Analyst within banking or payments projects.
 * Solid understanding of card processing, digital wallets (Apple/Google Pay), and customer card management features.
 * Experience producing detailed business and functional requirement documentation.
 * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
 * Familiarity with agile delivery environments.
General Requirements
 * Experience within financial services, particularly card issuing or processing platforms.
 * Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
 * Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
 * Comfortable engaging with both business and technical stakeholders.
 * Available for 3 days per week onsite in London.
