Tradewind seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a supportive and nurturing education setting in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. This Higher Level Teaching Assistant position offers the opportunity to work within a provision that supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, supporting them in re-engaging with learning.

The School:
The school provides education for children and young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support. With small class sizes, a strong pastoral focus and a therapeutic approach, staff work collaboratively to create a calm and structured environment. The setting places a strong emphasis on positive behaviour strategies and personalised learning pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver planned learning activities across the curriculum
Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
Support behaviour management using consistent and positive strategies
Assist with EHCP targets and pupil progress monitoring
Act as a positive role model, promoting engagement and self-confidence
Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development
Requirements:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Strong experience supporting pupils with SEMH or additional needs
Confident leading learning activities independently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A resilient, patient and empathetic approach
