Overview
Wye Valley NHS Trust seeks enthusiastic Radiographers to join the leadership team in CT. The post will include rotation between the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) and Hereford County Hospital and will help further develop the CT service across Herefordshire. This is a new post and will work closely with the CT Operational Lead Radiographer.
The CDC will incorporate Imaging (Plain X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI), a range of cardiorespiratory investigations including echocardiography, ECG and rhythm monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, FeNO, lung function tests, simple field tests, sleep investigations, oximetry, blood gas analysis and pathology services in a one-stop location to obtain diagnostic information in cancer, cardiac, respiratory, musculoskeletal and other conditions. Responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to:
* Produce imaging to the highest standards and offer training and support for diagnostic radiography students from BCU and University of Gloucester and University of Exeter.
* Organise workload to provide the best possible patient care and lead/develop the team of radiographers.
* Lead and evaluate new ways of working and techniques to facilitate service improvements.
* Support 7-day working in CT with a flexible approach to shifts.
* Contribute to a department that performs a wide range of specialised imaging including Colon, interventional and Perfusion CT.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential
o B. Sc. Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
o Cannulation certificate
o HCPC registration
o Experience of leadership and training staff
* Desirable
o CT Post Graduate Certificate
o Certificate in CT Colonography
Experience and Skills
* Essential
o Extensive proven experience in CT
o Wide range of CT skills including CT Colonography and Cardiac CT
o Experience of training staff
o Experience of working as a team leader/modality lead
o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
o Experience of first-line management
o Good understanding of legislation and government targets
o Ability to produce high-quality work and problem solve
* Desirable
o Experience of service improvement programmes
o Ability to problem solve and manage conflict where required

Other Details
