Job Opportunity: Head of Service for Clinical Support Services
This is an exciting opportunity to work as Head of Service for Clinical Support Services at a time of transformational change within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
The Head of Service Delivery role is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, operational and resource management for the delivery of Clinical Support Services (CSS) to all Health Board owned sites within the CSS South sector, including University Hospital Ayr, Ailsa Hospital, Biggart Hospital, and Girvan Community Hospital. This involves planning, organizing, and adapting the delivery of a broad range of complex activities.
You will have operational and professional responsibility as the professional lead for Domestic Services, ensuring the Board meets the domestic element for prevention and control of infections as outlined in the national manual.
Candidates should be educated to master's degree level in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience. They should possess in-depth specialist and professional management knowledge of support services, with senior management experience in strategic and operational development within large, complex organizations. Proven experience in developing and managing budgets and resources effectively is also required.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at Ailsa Hospital with hybrid working arrangements.
Working hours are 37 hours per week over 5 days. A car owner/driving license is essential.
