TeacherActive is seeking Cover Supervisors to support day-to-day cover in mainstream Secondary Schools in Worcester and surrounding areas.
Pay rates range from £90 to £120 per full day, depending on experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities include supervising a classroom of approximately 25-30 students, taking registers, recording absences, keeping students on task, ensuring work completion, minimizing classroom disruption, maintaining student safety, and leaving the classroom tidy.
This role is ideal for:
* LSAs / Teaching Assistants interested in a cover teaching role
* Graduates seeking classroom experience to enhance their personal statements or applications
* Individuals with experience as Sports Coaches or in activity clubs such as Scouts/Girl Guides
* Youth support workers
* Current cover supervisors exploring new opportunities
You can work full-time or part-time, with roles ranging from daily bookings to long-term assignments.
Requirements for a Cover Supervisor include:
* Excellent communication skills
* Basic understanding of the National Curriculum
* At least 6 months of experience in an educational environment
* Ability to cover multiple subjects
* Passion for education
* Self-motivation
* Confidence in classroom management
* Availability to work school hours (8:30-3:30)
