Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
* Respond quickly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs
* Support and complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
* Identify opportunities to improve machine performance and reliability
* Conduct regular inspections to prevent potential issues
* Report and resolve defects in machinery, equipment, or buildings
* Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records
* Work closely with maintenance and production teams
* Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery
Health, Safety & Environment
* Work safely and responsibly at all times
* Follow all HSEQ procedures
* Apply lock-out/tag-out procedures where required
* Wear and maintain all issued PPE
* Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly
* Participate in risk assessments and follow control measures
Skills & Experience
* Strong mechanical knowledge (hydraulics and pneumatics desirable)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing or industrial environments
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to breakdowns
* Team player with good communication skills
* Proactive approach to continuous improvement
