An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Charge Nurse to join the Frailty Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. This pivotal role offers the chance to lead and develop a team focused on improving the care journey for frail patients presenting with acute medical needs. The successful candidate will have previous experience of leading a team, a strong clinical interest in frailty syndromes, and the ability to manage complex care and discharge planning.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, including AHPs, psychiatric liaison, consultants, discharge coordinators, community teams, and integrated social services. You will be responsible for coordinating early screening, assessment, and intervention for frail patients. Excellent communication, leadership, and IT skills are essential, along with a flexible approach to work.
Ward management experience is desirable, and a genuine passion for elderly care is vital.
