Area General Manager - Concrete to take full accountability for the performance, profitability, and safety of our concrete operations within a defined geographic area. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing a team of commercial and operational professionals and collaborating closely with our customer service Centre in Syston. You will play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction while delivering strong commercial results. Key Responsibilities: Take full responsibility for the profitability and Health & Safety performance of all concrete plants in your area Lead and manage a high-performing team of operational and commercial staff About You: Proven leadership experience in a commercial and operational management role, ideally within the construction or materials industry Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and a track record of promoting a safety-first culture Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute market and operational plans Excellent communication and people management skills Results-oriented, with a focus on performance, service, and efficiency Work in close partnership with the customer service team to ensure exceptional service delivery Develop, own, and implement the Market Strategy Plan to drive growth and competitiveness in your area Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant legislation The incumbent in this role will have full responsibility for the profit and health & safety of the Heidelberg Concrete plants located within a defined territory area. Manage and lead a designated team of commercial and operational staff working closely with the customer service team at Syston.
