Part-time, from January 2026
A well-qualified, experienced and enthusiastic oboe teacher is required to join a large, flourishing and dynamic department. There are currently 2 hours of teaching, which could be increased, for pupils aged 8-18, including beginners.
Responsibilities
* Teach oboe to pupils aged 8–18 (including beginners) on a rotation basis; currently 2 hours of teaching per week with potential for increase.
* Complete reports once a year.
* Attend the online Visiting Music Teachers’ Parents’ Evening in the Lent Term.
* Participate in an interview and teach a short demonstration lesson (10 minutes).
* Work in Guildford High School with 10 dedicated teaching studios; space for a new oboe teacher is available on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
