Overview
Join Parker Hannifin as a Lead Valve Engineer, providing expertise for all phases of product development, from design through production, applying knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering in the development of components for aerospace applications.
Responsibilities
* Provide mechanical and electrical engineering expertise in designing, testing, maintaining and improving components or products.
* Apply strong technical problem-solving using analysis, experience and precedents.
* Manage project documentation, analyze data and create reports.
* Create Engineering Change Notices for design improvements, obsolescence, source changes, corrections, and other changes.
* Prepare documentation required by customers for engineering changes and other production-related documentation (stop orders, limited production documentation, release of stop orders, etc.).
* Communicate technical information clearly to others.
* Define environmental test objectives impacted by design changes and substantiate them through analysis or similarity.
* Support production and quality teams with technical questions (drawings, tear-down reports, etc.).
Qualifications
* Experience with electro-hydraulic servo valves from design to production.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and hydraulics/fluids with basic knowledge of electrical engineering.
* Excellent ability to apply a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
* Curious mindset.
* Knowledge of pressure control servo valve design and operation is ideal.
