Roadside Rescue Mechanic - Reading
The AA is looking for a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to help our members get back on the road. In return, we offer training, support and development opportunities as part of a supportive team.
What will I be doing?
* A communicator: you will diagnose and explain information clearly to customers so they feel informed and safe that their needs will be met.
* A self-starter: you will work independently and as part of a team, traveling to different locations in all weathers.
* A fixer/problem solver: you will use your technical expertise to solve a variety of issues, whether fixing the vehicle roadside or recovering it to a garage, helping customers get moving again.
What do I need?
* NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience
* Full category B driving licence with 6 points or fewer
* Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Eligibility for the location allowance is based on your home postcode. Start and finish on your driveway (paid from the moment you start in your van to when you return home). Sign-on locations available on discussion.
