Make a Real Impact as a KS3 Tutor.
Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEMH needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Maths, Science and English for KS3 students. These in-person sessions in Milton Keynes offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
* This job is in person in Milton Keynes
* Day(s)/Time(s): Monday - Friday, during school hours
* Subject and Level: KS3 Maths, Science and English
* Rate of pay: £30 p/h
What You'll Do
* Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level.
* Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
* Provide targeted support for students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
* Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
* Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
* Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.
We're looking for someone who has:
* A Bachelor’s degree.
* 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience.
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
* Experience working with students with challenging behaviour.
* Trauma informed practice (preferred)
* An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The right to be self employed in the UK.
