Dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, is recruiting for a Market Manager coveringthe whole of UK & Ireland (inc. London), to support our Central Ground Services function by proactively contracting directly with hotels and accommodation suppliers and developing relationships in the region. In this role, you will be the single point of contact for suppliers on behalf of dnata Travel and our affiliated brands. You will leverage technology to achieve seamless connectivity with our accommodation suppliers to drive room night production and revenue growth.
Job Accountabilities
1. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key contacts.
2. Deliver account management with clear development plans for leading suppliers assigned in your market. Manage Market Executives in the execution of account management.
3. Work with the product team to set and deliver the bed brief and always highlight opportunities throughout the region.
4. Pro-actively manage the supplier negotiation process at the optimal time.
5. Support and negotiate alongside your internal customer’s marketing team to ensure maximum contribution from suppliers for dnata brands’ campaigns.
6. Maximise commercial return on relationships by ensuring highly competitive brochure contributions and production based tiered overrides are incorporated into the contracting process.
7. Oversee site inspections of existing and new properties to ascertain suitability.
8. Ensure that rates and information are loaded into the contracting system in close collaboration with the contract loading teams.
9. Support the product teams with the delivery of content, images, product awareness and knowledge.
10. In collaboration with the businesses’ product teams evaluate market requirements related to the needs of tactical products.
11. Manage CRM accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage supplier development and partnership.
12. Implement the Health and Safety procedures set by the company.
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
13. Considerable previous experience in a Purchaser/Market Manager/Product role within the travel industry, ideally with recent experience in one or more of the contracting regions above.
14. Proven ability to exercise commercial judgement in the selection, negotiation and contracting of tour operator product or hotel services.
15. Knowledge of geography and an understanding of the tourism/tour operating industry.
16. Demonstrable analytic skills.
17. Proven ability to meet production and commercial deadlines.
18. IT literate with knowledge of Saleforce an advantage
19. First-hand knowledge of geography and an understanding of the tourism/tour operating industry within the specified region.
20. A proven network of supplier contacts and relationships.
