Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
Summary of Role
We are sustainability activators in Geneva, Switzerland, helping a portfolio of major international clients to grow through purposeful action, each needing razor-sharp writing on an ongoing basis.
Although we love the fact that our office is a multilingual place, our working language is English. We currently have a team of +40 creatives who work on everything from brand positioning and strategic consulting to photography and video. On the copy side, we provide creative, social media, technical and journalistic writing services along with proofreading and copy editing.
We are looking for a creative copy writer, conceptual thinker and team leader who can come up with multiple ways to tackle a creative brief, translating a big idea into a campaign concept, print and online ads, themes for storytelling, and other touchpoints in a consumer journey. Knowledge and experience working with international brands and brand HQ’s, especially those with strong sustainability and CSR-driven briefs.
Key Responsibilities
* Bringing to life internal and external campaigns and messages through different channels to engage audience, including for ads, social media, animations, web copy, and corporate leadership messages
* Turning a campaign concept into punchy headlines, video scripts, and engaging copy – both short and long, depending on the audience.
* Conducting interviews and participating in internal and client meetings to understand the brief, capture testimonials and inform your angle
* Drafting copy for presentations, playbooks and resource materials that support markets in executing global campaigns
* Providing accurate proofreading and copy editing of content prior to their publication.
* Working alongside your team including an account manager and the production studio to deliver on time and on budget
* Developing a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses and relevant industry trends.
* Presenting creative work to clients and getting them excited about it!
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Key Requirements
* 10+ years working in a communications/creative agency with client-facing experience; sustainability projects and messaging an asset
* You have a degree in English, journalism or similar
* Highly organised and able to work independently to tight deadlines with an attention to detail.
* You can take feedback effectively and quickly grasp a brand or product’s conceptual positioning, along with its offering and potential sensitivities.
* A clear communicator, a real team player and possess plenty of initiative.
* You have a solid understanding of business fundamentals and possess the will power and ingenuity for cracking challenging client briefs.
* You can write in a variety of styles and voices across a wide array of subject matters.
* A second language is an advantage (but not an essential).
* A great personality is an essential (and always an advantage).
