As a result of the company’s ongoing success, we are recruiting a newly created General Manager role. The successful candidate will lead, manage and grow this successful prestige travel business, transforming it from an operationally focused company into a sales-driven organisation.
If you are an experienced individual in the travel, leisure or hospitality industry, who has successfully grown a business, can implement a clear strategy and vision and who is an inspirational leader, we would be keen to hear from you.
Responsibilities include:
* Reporting to the CEO, managing the day-to-day operations of the business
* Transitioning the business into a “sales-driven” organisation through successful marketing and development of the brand
* Building and managing relationships with suppliers
* Delivering each customer’s individual experience, by ensuring all processes align with customer needs and expectations
* Building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, ownership of customer experience, and continuous learning
* Managing budgets, with a disciplined approach to cost management, analysing financial reports and improving data accuracy.
* Leveraging emerging technologies for operational improvements and innovation to maintain a competitive edge
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Strategic and operational experience within a similar field
* A proven track record of leading a customer-focused business through a successful growth cycle
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills both internally and externally
* Honed leadership skills with innate empathy and emotional intelligence
* Strong financial management and commercial skills
* Project management, planning and organisational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
* Critical thinking capabilities, displaying resilience, quick decision making and problem-solving skills
* An innovative approach to new situations
