An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Ward Manager - Acute Ward in an exceptional mental health hospital located in Springfield, Essex. You will be joining one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.
This independent hospital specializes in treating and managing adults and adolescents with acute mental health issues, including mild to moderate conditions such as stress and anxiety.
To be considered for this position, you must be a qualified RMN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the nursing staff rota, ensuring effective rota management and e-rostering standards. Be available for On Call Rota.
* Serve as a visible role model, mentor, and leader, fostering a culture of learning, development, inquiry, and professionalism. Promote achievements and shared learning for the benefit of the ward, hospital, and wider division.
* Ensure the highest standard of care for patients.
* Lead recruitment and retention efforts for staff on the ward and hospital.
* Conduct and complete clinical investigations, complaints, and HR investigations promptly and thoroughly.
* Ensure compliance with legislative frameworks such as the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberties in accordance with company policy and national requirements.
* Oversee Medicines Management in your clinical area/ward, ensure all Registered Nurses undergo competency assessments, and facilitate an open framework for managing medication errors.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience in a relevant care setting.
* Appropriate registration or experience relevant to the ward.
* Willingness to undertake further clinical, managerial, and leadership training relevant to management and leadership roles.
Salary and Benefits:
The successful Ward Manager will receive a salary of GBP40,000 - GBP44,000 per annum DOE. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include:
